  • Am I a self-starter? How well do I follow through on my ideas?

I have often been a self-starter and have had to be in multiple leadership positions in my work and personal life.   Being a self-starter means realizing no one will do the work for you and it is best to complete it now rather than later.

  • How well do I get along with different personalities?

In my life I have met very many people from many walks of life, and I have found respect and empathy are where strong friendships and relationships are grown.  Simply having differences does not have to mean conflict and I have applied the principles of respect and empathy and been blessed by getting to know and get along with many different personalities.

  • How good am I at making decisions?

Decision making is difficult especially when others rely upon your choice or actions.  A framework that has served me well is to first attempt to understand the problem or issue, then look for others who understand the issue, consider their positions, and compare it to my own experience, and lastly make the choice that will have the best outcome or most positive effect.

  • Do I have the physical and emotional stamina? Explain.

Psychical and emotional stamina are both needed for dealing with entrepreneurial problems.  If you cannot physically carry out the functions of whatever your task, is you will be at a disadvantage.  Similarly, if you cannot control your emotions and remain steadfast in the face of various emotional upsets, you will drift off course from your goals.  In the past I have often had leadership roles that have tested my stamina and I am proud to have risen to the occasion.

  • How well do I plan and organize?

Planning and organization are part of my strengths.  I believe that an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure and as such try to prepare for most common problems before they occur.    Organization is also critical for teamwork.  If an entrepreneurial pursuit is organized logically, it is easier for others to understand the goals and needed tasks thus facilitating collaboration.

  • How will my entrepreneurial efforts affect my family?

My hope is that my entrepreneurial efforts will be greatly beneficial to my family, not only financially but also spiritually.  I would like my family to be able to see success and know that they are capable of their own successes, with their own skills and hard work.  My hope is that they would be inspired to strive to build new products, services, or solutions and that they would be bold in creating friendships and relationships that are positive and improve the lives of others.
