BYOB series features Christopher Shelton, he is Co-owner of Cure Coffeehouse and he is also the Managing Director of the ODU Norfolk innovation center. He decided to be his own boss . Started at ODU with his Co-Owner. They were both working “day jobs” but Shelton knew that he was out of place within the corporate and cubicle environment. He attempted to change his mindset about his place of employment, but it did not change. He and his friends had various conversations about “not working for the man.” His Co-Owner sparked his interest in starting a business. They started their research on actually opening a business and how to be successful with it.
