- What is design thinking?
-Design thinking is a process that helps attack problems. It encourages people to explore different things that didn’t exist before. Something useful to the user. Design thinking focuses on the needs of the user, in which that user is culturally involved. Design thinking is a combination of both science and art. The perfect balance between both can help with the ideas that may develop.
- How has design thinking influenced a product I use?
Design thinking has influenced many products I use. Many products I use have been well thought of and planned before making. Such as sensitive skin care products, tools to help make life a little easier like dishwashers, and phones. All these products have been thought out and still are being thought out to change for the better, and easier use for everyone. They research how each user of the product lives and reviews it and make changes according to convenience of the users.
- What are the connections between opportunities and planning?
Opportunities and Planning have many connections as you do one the other normally comes behind it. If you have a well-drawn-out plan, or an understanding of what it is you are trying to accomplish or achieve, most of the time having that plan leads to opportunities. IN planning you think about what it is you want to do, and opportunities come when that plan is made and has a path. So, the connections between the two is without a plan you normally don’t see opportunities.
- What opportunities have I missed?
I feel like I’ve missed little opportunities in my life. I feel like the opportunities I was given like playing sports in college and jobs I have been offered have not been my plan or my path. I did miss out on these opportunities by walking away from them, but overall, I don’t have regrets on my decision. Opportunities can come but they also have to be the right opportunity for you. The only opportunity I would consider I missed is not taking a leap and joining the Military. I was debating on it for so long, but in the end, I wanted to be a first gen graduate. I wanted to be a leader as I’m the oldest of five. Now that it’s been five years since I graduated from High school, I see now that success isn’t just from a college degree, that you can be successful as long as you work hard and don’t give up.
