I believe that with the right entrepreneurial mindset, anyone can be an entrepreneur. Do I think and believe that I am an entrepreneur? Absolutely! Knowledge, determination, and motivation are a few key components in shaping a person into becoming an entrepreneur. Everyone has a different perception of what success is, but for me, success is all about personal growth. It is a continuous process in achieving desired goals that I have set for myself. Setting goals and achieving them, no matter how big or small they may be, not only brings me joy but also a sense of satisfaction of my accomplishments. I am a go-getter and self-starter and do very well in following through with my ideas. Although some ideas may have harder obstacles to overcome, I give it my all and try my hardest to get it done.
ODU embraces interdisciplinary entrepreneurship and offers students direct access to numerous resources on campus to assist them on their pursuit to innovation and entrepreneurship. ODU also connects students with individuals of similar interests and programs that will help you get started.
As human beings, we are an essential part of the ecosystem and have a great influence on the benefits and losses of the environment in which we live in. My role in the entrepreneurship ecosystem is based on my personal role and goal. A personal goal is to someday own a building that offers a variety of cuisines from around the world. How does this benefit me and the areas surrounding where I live? I own my own business/company and I can give those who may never travel to exotic places, a taste of authentic cuisines to choose from, all in one place. In the cybersecurity entrepreneurship ecosystem, my role to collaborate with likeminded individuals to enhance security within the digital realm where businesses can thrive without worrying about the threats of a cyber-attack.
