The current study is for New Mexico complex summer school program. National science foundation is a nonprofit that focuses primarily on the support of interdisciplinary research and education is essential for accelerating scientific discovery and preparing a workforce that addresses scientific challenges in innovative ways. What is your overall perspective on the entrepreneurship experience? My overall experience with the entrepreneurship perspective is that it is harder than it looks. It may be easy to think of ideas to create or own something, but the process and research can be intense to make sure we are not doing something that has already been done. I also see it as being confusing on making profit to gain and not lose revenue. I think that entrepreneurship is a responsibility for those with high knowledge in a certain field so that there are no gaps between the idea of the business. How did the entrepreneurship prepare or not prepare you to be a competitive candidate for vacant positions? The entrepreneurship prepared me to be competitive because it can be beneficial in the long run by choosing the right idea and audience. Its all about timing and place when it comes to being an entrepreneur and its very important to prepare in more than just the idea but research of the area and laws that come with a business. There is more that can prepare me in the long run at this point because there is always a what if that scares me so I would say I’m not fully prepared but I’m more aware than I initially was when it came to entrepreneurship. |
What suggestions do you have to improve the experience? To improve this experience, I would suggest thinking of an innovative idea that is more together instead of individual submission. It is easier to work together and communicate when everyone has a part and role and we combine it to one because everyone has strengths and weaknesses. I also believe the experience could be better if the proposal was more of guidance for what needs to be done instead of an actual grade because there is so much that goes into the requirements it becomes more overwhelming. I would suggest as well as having more of opinion on the actual decision on what to create. What’s next for you? Next for me is to figure out what I want to minor in after this class. Due to my major coming to a close I do now need additional credits and feel like I have become more creative. I do want to tap into creating ideas to things easier for people or at least helping in some form. I know that I have wanted to be an entrepreneur so I can run my own schedule so I do plan on looking into getting a llc as well. |
