I spearheaded the upgrade project, meticulously crafting a detailed project plan that outlined every phase\u2014from resource allocation to budget management. This artifact illustrates my strategic mindset and ability to keep complex projects on course, ensuring we meet our goals with precision.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

USS Newport News<\/em> (SSN-750)<\/strong>, a Los Angeles<\/em>-class<\/a> submarine<\/a>, is the third ship of the United States Navy<\/a> to be named for Newport News, Virginia<\/a>. The contract to build her was awarded to Newport News Shipbuilding and Dry Dock Company<\/a> in Newport News, Virginia<\/a> on 19 April 1982 and her keel was laid down on 3 March 1984. She was launched<\/a> on 15 March 1986 sponsored by Mrs. Rosemary D. Trible<\/a>, and commissioned<\/a> on 3 June 1989. Mayor Jessie M. Rattley<\/a> presented the ship with a commemorative plaque containing the poem “Newport News,” written by Newport News native Ronald W. Bell, whose poem “Admiral Rickover<\/a>” also appears upon a plaque aboard the Los Angeles<\/em>-class submarine Hyman G. Rickover<\/em><\/a>.<\/p>\n<\/div>
