The event allows EH&amp;S task teams to showcase their work and accomplishments with shipbuilders from across Newport News Shipbuilding.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This year\u2019s expo theme is \u201cGet On Board with EH&amp;S.\u201d The first shift&nbsp;<em>Virginia<\/em>-Class Submarine (VCS) Program Safety Task Team is among those participating. Members of the team shared their thoughts about what it means to \u201cget on board with EH&amp;S\u201d as they prepared for the expo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>\u201cThere\u2019s a lot of critical parts to making a train go down the tracks, and that\u2019s kind of like the task team working with O27. If we\u2019re all working together, we can make an impact and change the culture between safety and the craftsmen.\u201d<br><strong>Frankie Cupp<\/strong>&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>\u201cEveryone \u2013 not just the craftsmen, but management as well \u2013 has to get on board with safety so we can work in a safe environment building great ships.\u201d<br><strong>Darren Jackson<\/strong>&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>\u201cTo me, getting on board with safety is pointing safety in the right direction for the future of the craftsmen. We have to learn from our mistakes and make it better for the future.\u201d<br><strong>William Carter<\/strong>&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>\u201cIf everyone gets on board with safety, there will be fewer incidents and accidents.\u201d<br><strong>Virgil White<\/strong>&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>\u201cGetting on board with safety means that you come in every day looking out for yourself and your co-workers.
