Transfer & Connections to Discipline
Japanese has been extremely helpful throughout my entire life. Japanese was the first language I set forth on. Not only has my Japanese skills increased, but my English skills have also seen a nice incline. Using language skills learned throughout my Japanese experience, writing lab reports, essays and even simple written responses in English have been slight.
Constantly throughout Japanese I think of synonyms or phrases to express the meaning I am trying to convey. This directly translates over to any other writing course too. By integrating a wide array of vocabulary through different sentence make-up, providing emotion and logic, one can describe to the bitter bone. Using this wide variety of vocabulary and grammar helps aid my perspective of communication between others.

During this semester, I learned that it is not best to overload your workload to try to get by faster. A major set back at most, a retake of classes at best. The one way I saw fit was to try to focus on selected classes at a time, however that proved to not be effective once the midterms arrived. After forgetting assignment left and right due to a multitude of work due on multiple days, I next sought after a scheduling attempt to try and schedule out when and what to complete. Although I did miss a few assignment, my challenged faced was the due dates corresponding to each assignment. I noticed this was the most effective strategy when tackling an overloaded beast.
