The cybersecurity world is growing endless each day the sun rises and sets. Technology is improving every second and more people are starting to see that we are soon going to be living in a mostly tech world. Cybersecurity can be great but it has it’s bad sides also. By the year 2040 , I feel like cybersecurity’s biggest challenge will be protecting against cyber financial crimes. Hacking of onlines banking accounts, ransoms, and fraud already happen to someone everyday, so it’s only going to get worse as tech improves. Cyber crimes related to finances are hard to protect against because some of the protection is required by the users based on strong passwords and making sure they do their part in keeping the information confidential. Hackers are getting better at covering their tracks and cybersecurity is more at risk because they can hardly protect against it sometimes. This where policymakers need to come in and make change happen. National policy makers should put down their foot and make changes to cybersecurity. I suggest that policies on the national side should order a new protection law for financial crimes. The law would sever the user and the cybersecurity specialist , it would order protection if they are hit with an attack and offer help after if needed. Then partnerships between cybersecurity businesses would bring more security than ever. If the businesses would come together and share their plans on how to protect and improve against financial crimes that would be beneficial. This partnership would ensure the businesses are on the same page with protection and make the reputation of getting attacked less against cybercrimes improve.
