My first question in the interview for the open positions information security officer would be what is their background in information security? This is necessary because I need to if the candidate cand handle information security . I have to make sure the candidate is ready for the task at hand and has some impressive background information he can show me. I expect the the candidate to answer the question in this way; “ I have a BS degree in cybersecurity/computer science and at least 5 years of IT experience.
My second question would be: Are your skills you gained from experience with an information security officer ?. Information security office is not an easy task at hand that anyone can do, so I would need to know who best fits the position I have open and would base it on their skill set. I have the best candidates available at positions for the job and I would need certain skills that are required for me to be hired. I expect something along the lines of “ I have my own work of strategic planning , communication skills, and TCP/IP, computer networking, routing and switching.
My third question would be: What certifications do you have ?. This is very important because now I can get to know what the candidate has studied and successfully passed. That means that they have a good understanding of that concept and the more certifications they have the better chance they are a good worker. I would hope they say” CISA: Certified Information Systems Auditor, CISM: Certified Information Security Manager and more.
My fourth question would be: What motivates them to become an information security officer. I would want decorated workers to work for the company and need them to appreciate how great it is to become an information security officer. I would hope for them to respond in this manner , what qualities of information security they like and how they want to learn new information everyday while at work.
My last question would be: How would you make the company better?. I would take great pride in the company and would need workers who care as much as the compans as I do. Then I would expect a response like “ I can bring my IT skills to your company and increase the software security.
