My main concerns from the video provided are about consenual data usage and law-related precedent. Firstly, how are non-consensual uses of data relating to AI going to be treated in law? OpenAI tested the waters pretty recently with the release of their newest version of Sora, which is a video-generating AI tool. It had seemed there were no major lawsuits related to the release, which is strange because when the model was released to the public, it allowed the non-consensual use of celebrity likenesses. This was later somewhat restricted by OpenAI after backlash on release. Now my main question is, how is this incident going to be addressed by lawmakers? There are no directly related laws that would apply, but obviously, there should be. My second question is, how are incidents like this going to set the precedent for future incidents, which may be larger and more realistic than the current Sora model, which has not currently been addressed by national law?
