Studying immunology within my biomedical degree has been key in several ways. First, it has deepened my understanding of disease mechanisms, especially in autoimmune disorders and infections. This knowledge is crucial for biomedical research. Due to immunology’s connection to forensic research, such as DNA profiling and immune analysis, this class has expanded my analytical skills, allowing me to interpret evidence effectively. In cellular research, my immunology background will help me comprehend cellular interactions, signaling pathways, and responses to stimuli. The connection between immunology and anatomy is obvious, as the study involves immune-related organs, improving my anatomical insights. This approach of combining molecular biology, biochemistry, and clinical applications enriches my ability to incorporate the knowledge that I learned. Also, the problem-solving skills developed through this class are directly applicable to challenges in the forensic and cellular research fields.
