End of Term Reflection

describe ONE thing you learned in this class that helped you make a connection to other coursework (especially in your field-of-interest within biology/biochemistry). Be specific; this should (hopefully) show the why immunology is relevant to your studies and one way that it helped you grow as a student.

This class was extremely helpful for the other classes I was taking this semester. This semester I also took virology and microbiology. I was able to see both sides of what is happening with viruses. While in one class I was learning how viruses enter and replicate in the cell in another I was learning the actions the immune system takes to get rid of that virus. In my microbiology class there were a few units on the immune system that normally would have been difficult to learn, but since I already knew most of the information, the chapters came easily to me. After I graduate ODU, I want to go to dental school, and the immunology class has helped me prepare for difficult classes that will be taught in dental school as this class had a lot of information that I needed to learn. Each chapter was a building block and this class helped reinforce the importance of looking back on previous chapters to understand what is happening and why in the current one.
