Introduction

After reading the article about( (Jaishankar, 2024, #2) how cyber bullying and Cyberbullicide Ideation Among Jordanian College Students I learned that social science is a major aspect of cyber bullying. 

Social science and cyberbullying 

The reason I say that is because study shows that most of the cyber bullying cases are stemming from social media apps. Data shows 46% of cyberbullying tracked in social media in 2024. Cyber bullying is growing more and more since technology is growing and newer apps are being made.The lack of awareness from parents and children can cause issues mentally and physically. Culture is one of the similarities cyberbullying and social science have in common. When some hackers look for people to make fun of it goes based on school, work, jealousy, and different opinions and cultures. Another similarity is that a lot of cyber bullies go for different social groups.In the article (Jaishankar, 2024, #59)it explained that the main groups that get attacked are the teenager group and younger.teenage mental health in the united states are a serious issue and its because of the online attacks.13.5% of teenagers are victims and also 10% are perpetrators.

Hypothesis and method 

The hypothesis that was studied was cyberbullying victimization could lead to cyberbullicide( (Jaishankar, 2024, #74). The research method that was used was the survey method(Jaishankar, 2024, #69).

Data and analysis

The data shows that 26% of the students that took the survey have experienced bullying.The type of analysis done was descriptive statistical analysis and logistic regression analysis.

The concept of power points

The concept of power points relates to this topic so much because it used data and charts to show the points made. In the past presentations I understand that cyberbullying attackers wants to go for the most vulnerable groups. in the article the most in the surveys who experienced cyber bullying was young females. In the powerpoint we discussed it also showed that lots of chat rooms are a way pedophiles to attack.

Challenges and the groups

The challenges in the article is that bullies target the younger audience and lots of them would lead into mental health and sucuide.lots of minorities and less fortunate people are bullied more than ever.studying the society in the social world shows that being young on an app, you have to be mentally strong when on social media because if you are different you will have a good chance to be next in cyber bullying.

Conclusion 

In the world of improved technology and new apps every day. Teens are going to be the biggest target on social media to get cyber bullied.Victims of cyberbullying are at a higher risk of experiencing depression, anxiety, and suicidal ideation in order to help decrease the cyber bullying rates we have to spread awarness and build cyberbullying polices in school and future social media apps.
