Cyber security has so many branches of jobs to pick from. One cool thing about cyber security is that as long as we keep growing more and more as humans we will need cyber security. Protecting our network and personal life on the internet is very important. Technology is getting more and more enhanced. Learning cyber security I gained an understanding of what I want to be in cyber security and why I would enjoy it.  The career I gained an interest in learning about cyber security is Cyber Security Engineer. 

Cyber Security Engineer 

The job of a cybersecurity engineer is one of the most important fields in cybersecurity and also one of the most paid jobs in the field of cybersecurity. Cyber security engineers identify the threats in systems and software. This job plays a big factor in a lot of companies because if you can’t see the attack coming how are you going to prepare and get ready to protect yourself from a virus or hacker? Having a group looking over and making sure that there are no threats around your systems is the best thing in these times. Getting hacked can lose money and possibly your company so that is the reason a lot of companies pay millions if not billions of dollars for protection. Social science is important to cyber security engineers because without it would be hard to find out if it’s a human or AI. For example, back when the PS5 first came out, hackers and scammers were having an AI or hacks that every time the PS5 was released it would automatically add to their cart and purchase which would leave them at a disadvantage towards the regular people who wanted to buy it. Walmart would lose money in a lot of ways one the people who would use the hacks would resale it on Walmart or other websites and sell it for higher because of the higher demand for it. It took people years to get the system because of the unfair advantage. Even me, it took me last year to get it and it was a miracle to get mine. Having a cybersecurity engineer around can detect the unfair advantage and make sure that it won’t happen again. Having human behavior you can see what is not human. There’s no way you can order something in seconds without help.so having training in the identification and looking out for potential hackers can build strength. Having high-tech solution defense to defend against hacking. Cyber security engineers’ goal of the job is to maintain and protect the systems. That’s what I want to be in. I wanna make sure I can make a mark and help make sure that networks are safe and companies are not in danger of getting hacked. 

Conclusion

Being a cybersecurity engineer is a good and important career to be in. If you wanna protect and maintain the safety of companies and personal systems this is the job for you. Without knowing the social science in the field can become an issue because knowing how a human can operate can cause vulnerabilities and threats.
