HW4
From the major and minor losses example problems, I learned about the process to find the energy loss in a pipe or a series of pipes. This equation is used in conjunction with Bernoulli’s equation. Previously, I had heard about the Reynolds number, but I did not know what it was or how to use it. After doing these problems, I now have a firm grasp of what the Reynolds number is and how to use it with the relative friction to find the friction factor.
After reviewing the test, I learned that there are points for the problems being technically written. The examples provided helped me to understand what that will look like. Reviewing the problem-solving rubric provided me with the knowledge to exceed the standards of the exam. Reviewing the test also gave me an idea of the length of the exam.
