My name is Dana Donigan. I am a student at Old Dominion University studying Health Service Administration with a minor in management. Throughout my time at ODU, I developed a passion for improving healthcare systems, serving diverse communities, and making a meaningful impact through leadership and service.<\/p>\n
This portfolio will highlight my internship experience, personal growth, and just the overall knowledge I have gained while preparing for a career in healthcare administration.<\/p>\n

Box 1980, Norfolk VA 23501-1980<\/p>\n Organization Type:<\/strong> Academic medical center and healthcare research\u00a0institution.<\/p>\n Organization Overview: <\/strong>CINCH\u2014What’s Up with Teen Marijuana Use Study: This project is a national study that will explore the intersections of a variety of factors on teen use, parent experiences, resources, state and local policy, and teen mental health, as well as impacts on school attendance and academic performance.<\/p>\n Mission: <\/strong>Ultimately, we hope to use information learned to create new, better resources, interventions, and supports for parents, teens, and schools.<\/p>\n Vision: <\/strong>To reach a diverse group, including the underserved communities, to. help better equip them in the knowledge and dangers of teen marijuana usage.<\/p>\n My Preceptor: <\/strong>The internship preceptor’s name is Amy Paulson. Miss Paulson holds bachelor’s degrees in business, healthcare administration, and psychology, all from Appalachian State University, and a master’s in public health from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
