I gained a solid understanding of network architectures, infrastructures, and services, as well as the protocols that enable seamless data transmission across networks.<\/p>\n
The course also explored the dynamic landscape of cybersecurity, covering topics such as cyberattacks, adversarial tactics, and defense mechanisms. Through practical exercises and theoretical study, I learned how to identify vulnerabilities, analyze network security threats, and implement effective defenses.<\/p>\n
IT 315 provided me with a comprehensive foundation in networking, preparing me to address challenges in both communication systems and cybersecurity with confidence and technical expertise.<\/p>\n\n\n What It Is<\/strong>: A comprehensive project that involves planning, budgeting, and designing a networking and security infrastructure for a high school, including structured cabling, managed switches, patch panels, firewalls, and a secure authentication server.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Key Skills Demonstrated<\/strong>: Network design and architecture, cost analysis, security planning, and the application of VLANs, subnets, and firewalls for traffic management and protection.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Relevance<\/strong>: This artifact showcases my ability to apply modern networking concepts and technologies to real-world scenarios.
