Cyber technology has created opportunities for workplace deviance by allowing individuals to harm others in the workplace through the internet and social media anonymously. The term workplace deviance essentially is the intentional desire and action of misconduct in a workplace/organization. The development of cyber technology worldwide has contributed to workplace deviance tremendously in our time and era with cyber threats and identity thefts. Cyber technology has created opportunities for workplace deviance especially considering how most if not all organizations and companies use cloud systems and networks to gather and store information. This in turn creates an opportunity for workplace deviance to occur because offended or unethical employees can create harm in those very systems because of their access to them with their work clearances.
