Cyber Intelligence
As we continue our digital journey, we learn more about advanced technologies and their
intelligence. Within the last two years alone, I have notice an increase in use of artificial
intelligence amongst everyone. In the following article “Understanding the Use of Artificial
intelligence in cybercrime” we dig deeper into the matter.
The topic regarding artificial intelligence in cybercrime relates greatly with the principles in social
science. Social science is a a lense into understanding human behavior and social patterns.
This may be psychological, economical, political science, and more. The use of artificial
intelligence is in a way a “cheat code” or easy route into finding solutions. The use of artificial
intelligence can be helpful for those who are in need of new ideas. Making it a good thing. But it
could also be used irresponsibly. Criminals may use artificial intellect to manipulate public
perception. In the article, they explain how offenders use it to exploit systems to commit criminal
activities. In the article they listed an example of creating fake images or videos. When referring
to politicians or high profile celebrities, we hold them to a higher standard. If images or videos of
them roam the internet doing something illegal or inappropriate, it can ruin their reputation and
our trust or opinions of them. This harmful practice is a dangerous tool.
There are two studies described in this article. The first study is a victimization study by
Deepfake in the metaverse. The study compares interpersonal crime and effective prevention
methods. The unsettling results showed that motivated offenders in their 20s were most likely to
commit financial gain or sexual gratification crimes. To prevent this, the experts suggested
proper guardianship and reestablishing procedures.
Study one one Understanding Artificial intelligence in cybercrime-metaverse, we more of the
psychological theory of cyber offending show up; As well as, behavioral theory. These two from
our PowerPoint presentation in module 5 explain how younger adults behave online when they
know consequences to their actions online may be minimal. This nonphysical motive is solely
psychological. Behavior is learned, for Rated R online experiences, most behavior for players is
adapted by other players. This case study was informative. The impact it makes on society
allows us to behave even in the online world; simply being better people and changing behavior.
Study two of the article connects language models to social engineering attacks. The artificial
generate stimulates realistic human responses and concludes which literature traits are likely to
be targeted. In this case study, they noted that impulsivity, carelessness and naivety were target
vulnerabilities. This high risk factor of just language exposure allows hackers to choose who
they believe to be easy prey. In our module we go over the personality theory of cyber offending

This thesis Ty goes perfectly with this case study. I believe that this study is good for society as
it demonstrates what hackers look for and encourages us to upgrade our dictionaries.
Both contributions help understand criminal offending and behavior to prevent it. These studies
poke at the importance of detail and accountability. The use of artificial intelligence allowed
these researchers to experiment behaviors that are concerned with cyber offending.
