As well as it being in high demand.  Updating your resume is a way that you can make yourself seem more professional and admirable. Community and knowing your community/working with them is a way to get your foot in the door. Adapting power dynamics as well as knowledge in your field (learned through a degree or certification). Overall, you do not need your 3year of required experience to get a job like a cybersecurity analyst. You just need to know what to do, get the right skills and socialize with people who are in the field to learn how they got in.
