How did you score?  What do you think about the items in the scale?  Why do you think that different patterns are found across the world?

I believe that I scored better than I expected to.  For my score, I had answered yes to 2/9 of the following questions for Social Media Disorder.  I believe that within the past 12 months, I have become way better on limiting my social media use than I was when I was younger.  If I were to answer these same questions, when I was much younger then I’m sure I would have gotten a higher score for social media disorder.  As my brain developes, I want to read more or interact socially in person rather than online.  For me, there are little to no interests of mine other than maybe silly cat videos. 

I thinks that the items in the scale are based on psychological factors. I believe that different patterns are found accross the world because of the different types of interests, and access to social media or internet as a whole. in my

Country, Belize, having internet access is a luxury and not a lot of people have phones.  Because of this, they do not really care about having a life online.  Besides, there’s so much beauty in nature there that it makes sense to do things in person like going to the beach, hanging out with friends at the market and so forth.
