It is imperative to acknowledge that the five infractions that had stood out among the others listed in the article because of their ethical and legal ramifications. First of all, abusing unapproved streaming and torrent services violates copyright laws by preventing content creators from receiving their just compensation and enabling the continued unauthorized distribution of protected works. Second, without permission, recording VoIP calls breaches people’s right to privacy and violates privacy laws, which may result in the unapproved sharing of private information. Additionally, gathering data about children under 13 without consent from parents violates legal statutes such as the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA), endangering the wellbeing and safety of those underage. In addition, using someone else’s internet network without authorization is theft, which can be punishable by law and interfere with the owner’s ability to provide services. Not only do these infractions have legal serious crimes because they not only have negative effects but also undermine public confidence in online platforms and foster an environment that encourages illegal access and exploitation.
