When it comes the media portraying anything cybersecurity affiliated most of the time it’s not as accurate as things are in the field of cybersecurity. My favorite example would have to be that in one of the fast and furious movies the main antagonists had hacked some smart cars on the intersection to disturb traffic flow in which this idea was loosely based on an incident that had occurred a year prior to the movie airing, because in 2015 two individuals named Charlie Miller and Chris Valasek had decided to remotely hack a 2014 Jeep cherokee using the infotainment system. In all actuality this idea wouldn’t be impossible but very difficult seeing how the hacker(s) would have to gain access to satellite view and coordinate them to go in the direction they’d want for them to go. All in all the main idea for the video was to show how hackers carryout their agendas but the reality is that it is not always as easy as things might seem. They would have to do intensive work depending on what they want to gain full access of.
