Course Material
In studying entrepreneurship, one of the things we had to analyze and write an essay about was a famous entrepreneur. The one that I chose to write about was Steve Jobs for his massive impact on the world through the founding of Apple and particularly his impact on mobile phones and computers. Analyzing Steve Jobs provides an example of how a good entrepreneur should go about starting and growing a business.
Another essay that we did was an analysis of businesses that have failed in the past. For this paper, i decided to analyze the rise and fall of the company Kodak. Kodak was of course a film and photograph company that at one point was massive, but has fallen in the more recent times. The reason for this was mostly due to one thing, and that is the failure of Kodak to adapt to changing technology with the development of the digital camera. This shows how changing and adapting is important not only for the establishment of a business, but the continued success of a business.
Our most recent essay was on the development of our personal sense of leadership and how our philosophy on leadership was formed. This helps us understand how we perform leadership roles, and how that philosophy on leadership was formed.
