How does cyber technology impact interactions between offenders and victims?

Cyber technology has a massive impact on the interactions between offenders and victims. Technology allows these offenders to be able to talk to their offenders, this is an easy task for the offenders because they can pretend to be anyone the want online and the victims have no idea. Offenders can contact their victims in many different way through the use of technology. Two of the most common ways is internet fraud and email fraud scams. Offenders find their victims by fake online sales, phishing through emails, and lottery scams. These offenders can commit many different crimes such as: verbal aggression, sexting, outing, masquerading, flaming, and exclusion. One of the major impacts of technology when it comes to online bullying is that it is hard to detect so the offenders often get away with it, these offenders are also extremely persistent. There is one crime that is the most common and that is child pornography. Not only does technology allow offenders to have contact with their victims, technology also allows the production, storage, and the distribution of child pornography. Offenders can also use the internet for internet sex crimes. They commit crimes such as revenge porn, sexual blackmail, and prostitution.
