Anyone from young to old can now access the world wide web<br>with ease. But that also means that people will become victims of cyber threats and cyber<br>attacks. This article answers these questions perfectly, \u201cDoes exposure to cyberattacks influence<br>public support for intrusive cybersecurity policies\u201d and \u201dHow do perceptions of cyber threats<br>mediate this relationship\u201d. In this article it will go over cyber threats and cyber attacks and how<br>cyber security officials are planning to battle this problem.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This article gives us useful data of an overview on how the countries around the world<br>are seeing a rise in people accessing the world wide web and with that comes cyber crime and<br>threats. Then the article gives us data on how the governments around the world respond to this:<br>forty states in the United States have given out two hundred and eighty bills to prohibit and put a<br>halt to these threats and crimes. Also Europe is also doing\/did a similar thing to the United<br>States with these bills.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>These bills that the governments have given out are to protect the citizens that browse the<br>world wide web. Then this targets the cyber criminals that are planning to do cyber crime to<br>these unfortunate citizens.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Then there was a hypothesis that was made and it was if there exposure to cyber attacks<br>this will translate to awareness of cyber attacks. To prove their hypothesis there were people that<br>made a controlled survey. In this survey there were fake videos that portrayed cyber attacks so<br>that there will be exposure and awareness to cyber attacks. In this survey this shows that civilians<br>that are victims of cyber threats and attacks show to have in trauma, anxiety, and helplessness.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>With this article and study that was conducted there will be more people that have<br>become exposed to cyber crime and cyber threats that are happening right now. With this<br>exposure the world wide web will be a safer place to browse around.
