Of the list of 11 illegal acts online I believe searching for unlawful search terms would be the most serious offense. There are few legitimate reasons to seek out that information and if you want that information there’s an implication of something more sinister. Then after that, I would place collecting information about children as the next most serious due to the risk of them being exposed to something malicious. Even adults can fall for scams, being cyberbullied, etc. so a child could be vulnerable to all kinds of harmful acts. After that, I would place sharing passwords, addresses, or photos of others online. Sharing other people’s personal information could have devasting repercussions on their lives. It could leave them open for identity theft, threats, stalking, or other breaches. Next, I would place using someone else’s internet network without permission. It would be like walking up to someone’s house to use a faucet or an electrical outlet. Your activity could also compromise the network. The fifth most serious I would say is faking your identity online because this could be used maliciously. It could be done to trick someone, impersonate a real person, or try to get away with some other suspicious activity. I placed it fifth because there are legitimate and non-malicious reasons to use a fake identity. Someone could just want anonymity, to avoid their real information being spread, and because the use the callsigns, gamertags, and usernames across the internet is pretty common.
