This course directly introduces you to the field of what cybersecurity will look like. It gives you a broad overview of what some of the technical skills you will be using as well as some of the of different platforms you will be using within the field of cybersecurity.

As this class educates you on what to expect within the field it also allows you to determine how technology can be both used in an advantageous and disadvantageous way.

Information security is a security measure aimed specifically to protect the personal information of individuals. It is focused to deter unauthorized access, creating a more protective environment for both individual and company-wide usage. Network security uses both hardware and software to implement safe and secure security measures within data networks. This is too implemented on a company and individual usage.

Although both information and network security are different sections of cybersecurity protection, they serve as complementary security measures to ensure the utmost protective barriers from any unwanted or malicious activities on a company-wide network system. The efficiency of both these security measures is key for any organization whether it be a small business or a large multinational corporation.
