It was interesting to apply concept names to things I experience in my everyday life. I enjoyed having to think of examples for each one so I could apply it to real-world situations. In particular, I enjoyed learning about the representative heuristic which is similar to a stereotype, as well as the anchoring and adjustment heuristic, which mainly revolves around finances.

Artifact 3

This image represents how our music taste reflects our personality. I found it interesting that people often have similar personalities and values based on their music taste. After hearing this, I became more aware of the songs people listened to and realized that a lot of what they supported was portrayed in music. It is important to know this because you can then evaluate a person’s values or personality based on their music preference.

Artifact 2

I chose the above image because it shows the different classifications of emotional intelligence. The informational video that accompanied it was extremely informational about how to mentally calm yourself down, which is something a struggle with. After taking the EQ quiz, I became more aware about how I manage myself both socially and personally.

Artifact 1

I chose the above image because it shows the six styles of love and what they are. I enjoyed the assignment because it better laid out what me and my significant other expect out of a relationship and allows us to better understand each other. Even to this day, we often look back on it to remind ourselves the importance of understanding our styles of love. I learned that different people desire different expectations throughout a relationship, which can overall help people find significant others they would be compatible with.

Artifact 5 The TED talk, The Dangerous Ways Ads See Women, was an extreme eye opener as to how women are represented in the media and in particular advertisement.
