I was 38 years old when I made the decision to go to college. I wanted to go from time to time, before I got busy being a wife and mom. I took the leap of faith and applied for financial aide, As a single mom, I was terrified of failure and the expense it would have for the family.i graduated with Honors with my associate’;s in May of 2017 and quickly jumped back into school at Old Dominion because of the amazing opportunities I feel are still ahead of me. I have never been as proud and humble as walking across that stage and showing my entire family that If you dream it, it’;s possible..and I worked so hard. I am a first generation college student.
