Composing this essay was incredibly satisfying. It showed me how easily these theories that we are learning in class can be applied to whatever we wish to analyze, whether it is a book or a television show or, even, a song. Once I started finding connections, they never ended and it was thrilling to put the whole piece together because The Hour of the Star by Clarice Lispector ripe and ready to be analyzed.
