I recently graduated from Southside Virginia Community College with an Associates Degree in General Studies with a specialization in Human Services. I also have been working at SVCC in the Building and Grounds Department for five years. I am married to my wonderful husband of twenty-one years with three daughters and six grandchildren. I am pursuing my bachelors degree in Psychology in the hopes of understanding and being able to better help people. I am not exactly sure where this degree will lead me, as I enjoy what I do but always have had the desire to keep reaching for more. I first had the idea that I wanted to counsel at a pregnancy crisis center as this was a personal &#8221; want to give back&#8221;\u00a0 goal, however, I am leaning on the other end of the spectrum now and considering to be a probation officer. I know God will put the right paths in front of me at just the right time. With that being said, I will be happy in what ever he leads me to do. I enjoy helping people and giving everyone the sense that they are worthy of something. I am very excited to dig deep in this class, as I feel it will help me in reaching my goals.
