The virtual reality experience of ImmerseMe motivated me to analyze, evaluate, and apply practical everyday concepts in a real world situation. Using the four scaffolded learning modes of the ImmerseMe platform (pronunciation, writing\/dictation preview, translation preview, and immersion), I fully engage with real-life scenarios where I was prompted to interact and negotiate meaning.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
To fully appreciate ImmerseMe\u2019s real-world applications and gaming features to recall, practice, and master (Wallinger, 2000) French, I provide an in-depth reflection to recognize the multicultural learning experience. This is where I write about: my assumptions and how they were formed, reflect on what French is, how one learns the language, the evolving understanding of Francophone cultures, and what language means to me personally.
