It is important to study a world language, to better understand how different peoples interpret reality, as well as their history, culture, and way of life. It is also incredibly important to build and maintain friendly relations with our longtime allies like the French. America would not exist as we know it today without France. For centuries, latin and french have been the language of Lords and Governing bodies across Europe, the British Isles, and beyond.

I am studying french for two reasons. The first reason is that I have always been interested in medieval history and combat. As a teenager, I often would research the hundred years war between England and France. I would often fantasize of knights in their castles, as well as medieval soldiers on the field of battle. This later translated into my passion for history overall. My second reason is the more obvious one; to fulfill my education requirements, so that I may attain a better job and improve my messed-up life. I medically retired from the Army in 2024, and I am broken, unable to perform normal tasks that regular people may do. Combined with my passion of history and my strength in mentorship that I gained from being a Noncommissioned Officer, my path forward became clear: Teach young hearts and minds history.
