Bonjour Madam Facer. My impression of the talk abroad and the experience I had was surprisingly enjoyable. Donavan was a kind tutor \/ French speaker. He was understanding when I made mistakes and would help me with some prompts and was a good conversationist. Even though we had a language barrier, we were having sidebars the entire time and I got him to laugh a few times. All in all, of course my French needs work, but I had a good time, and the initial nervousness was easily dissipated. I think it was a good tool in the pursuit of learning. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Divulging more of my thoughts on the topic, I will say that the script is cumulative knowledge of all we have learned in 101 and so far in 102, but I did feel that I was losing my place a bit in the Le francais 102 packet you provided. I think fewer topics but with more to say about them would be more beneficial for such a short time. Donavan and I were taking our time and ended up not even finishing the packet.
