Monarch Racing

We are a college level formula racing team than is fully ran by students at Old Dominion University. Our goal as student engineers is to collaborate, design, and manufacture a formula car that is safe and reliable to drive. We are able to use the information that we learn from class and directly use it for real world problems.

We are able to produce a vehicle every two years and then go to competition in May for an International event that is held by SAE (Society of Automotive Engineers). This event consist of multiple categories that range from static events to dynamic events. In May of 2018 we placed 78th out of 120 teams. In the next event we are projecting to place 10 places higher than the last.
