Greetings and Salutations,
My name is Frank T. Gragnano and I am an Old Dominion Undergraduate Student working part-time as a Registered Peer Recovery Specialist (RPRS) at Norfolk Community Services Board. I’ve been employed in the Human Services field for three and a half years and couldn’t have wished for a more rewarding career.
As an RPRS, I am a person with lived experience with a substance use disorder and co-occurring mental health disorders. After my first year clean, I started taking the PRS class from DBHDS. From there my interest in Human Services grew. I started seeking my second Bachelor’s degree in the Spring of 2022, and I am on track to graduate with a Bachelor of Science in May of 2023. My focus is a Certificate in Addiction Prevention and Treatment.
