Going into the Fall 202o semester, I didn’t know what to expect with how things were going with the pandemic and everything going virtual. However, despite the limitation on how lessons and lectures were delivered, it wasn’t too difficult for me to retain information as I had the help of Señora Roy and my abuelita. One of the things that became a priority for me this semester was to improve my pronunciation as well as expand on what I can do grammatically. Following my first time doing TalkAbroad, I realized that my pronunciation was no longer as big of a problem as it was putting two and two together when determining which tense I was needing to use or if there were any irregular verbs I needed to focus on.
At the end of the semester, during one of our last lectures, Señora mentioned again how important it was for us to continue our education of the Spanish language culture. This class influenced me to continue with it rather than doing the bare minimum.
