Matthew Hussey onces said “Don’t just praise a guy’s achievements. Praise the personality traits that made them possible (Dewar, n.d).” Every last one of us on this earth as human beings has traits of or own, some good and some bad. During my module 6 activity I learned about my five different personality traits that I have.  I am optimistic, friendly, generous, I show self-control and Integrity. Everyday no matter what people will always get the same me no matter what, and I know some days can be more challenging than others and that what makes life a challenge in which we all face every day of our lives. Throughout the entire week I show consistency in these five traits that I have listed above. I am a firm believer that actions speak louder than words, and to be honest if you ever meet someone who knows or knew me they all would say these five traits plus more define the individual that I am.  Lastly below

During my module 7 archive activity I learned that, the term cognitive dissonance is used to describe the mental discomfort that results from holding two conflicting beliefs, values, or attitudes. People tend to seek consistency in their attitudes and perceptions, so this conflict causes feelings of unease or discomfort. One example of cognitive dissonance is me walking my dog randy around my neighborhood and I accidently forgot his poop bag at home, so I left it outside on the ground. So, as I’m walking back home, I felt somewhat bad because I usually pick up Randy’s dog poop, but then I remember that someone left their dog’s business in my yard so that was my justification. Although the next day I went back to pick up my dog’s daily duties since I felt bad. In addition, the reason why I chose this quote/ image was because action speaks louder than words. Tony Dungy once said Integrity is what you do when no one is watching; it’s doing the right thing all the time, even when it may work to your disadvantage. Integrity is keeping your word (Dungy, 2020).

During my module 5 archive, I learned about Self- and Other-Enhancement in Everyday Life. Self enhancement is defined as a cognitive or interpersonal activity aimed at boosting beliefs that one is a lovable and capable human being. A related concept is motivated reasoning, which is thought that is expressly aimed at reaching congenial conclusions about one’s self and place in the world. In addition Self-improvement is defined as the motive to become a better individual in reality. During this activity we had to come up self-enhancement and other-enhancement strategies we could use with the topics in the activity.

Lastly the reason why I chose the image below was because this was the activity we had to come up self-enhancement and other-enhancement strategies.

It is stated that The similarityattraction effect refers to the widespread tendency of people to be attracted to others who are similar to themselves in important respects. During module 3 archive I learned that, Attraction means not strictly physical attraction but, rather, liking for or wanting to be around the person.  One reason I Feel that this is true is because me and lady are exactly the same, we both are childish, carefree, thoughtful, care, love to draw and love music, but i am not the only one who would say the same thing, I asked a couple of people and some agreed with this and others agreed with opposite attract. In which I can personally say that I know two people who are completely opposite by they are attracted to each other. The two people are my parents, they have been married for over 10 years and although they are complete opposite they are attracted to each other.

In addition, the reason why I chose the image below is because it is showing a representation of opposites attracting to one another.  For instance as you look at the image below, it is showing of a magnet, in which south and north are being pull into one another. Now if someone was to flip that magnet to south and south, and north and north it would push each other away.

Jim Morris once said that “whoever controls the media controls the mind (Pacheco, 2017)”, the reason I am saying this is because we had to watch a video called “Are we scaring ourselves to death”, and discuss the role the media plays in representative and Availability Heuristics. During this activity we ad to discuss the role the media plays in representative and availability heuristics. The reason why I listed this as my number 1 top artifact was because I loved how I was able to use the different Heuristics term in our every day life.  in which is while during this semester I learned how to define both in representative and Availability Heuristics in order to explain how the media has a major role in this.

In my module 4 archive I learned that Representativeness heuristic can be defined coming up with a conclusion by connecting a current circumstance to one that represents a mental prototype, but in order to draw this conclusion, you have to compare the individual to a prototype. A prototype can be defined as a list of attributes commonly possessed by members of each of the occupations (Branscombe & Baron, 2017). In addition, representativeness heuristic is also used when judging whether specific causes resemble each other and are therefore likely to produce effects that are similar in terms of magnitude.

Lastly  by looking at my photo I am using prototypes to draw a conclusion about myself. For example, in one of my photos it shows me in scrubs, with a Sentara healthcare badge, and in another photo, it shows surgical instruments. Due to these traits someone could come up with the conclusion that I work in the hospital medical field and they could either be a Nurse, Xray tech, Surgical Tech, Surgical assistance or a doctor.  With me learning this relevant information from this week modules and last week Could possibly be able to come up with my own conclusion of other people by looking at their photos.
