Exploring Culture

The flash cultura helped me gain the understanding of the different Spanish cultures around the world. Wether it be Mexico, Spain, or costa rico.

In these Spanish counters things are very different. They do things differently and they have different things in their country. The countries that are a part of South America are portrayed in the media as poor and rider with drug dealers but when watching the vides the countries are peaceful. They are beautiful and the people are safe and normal. After watching these videos I realize that Spanish countries are actually gorgeous and beautiful.

Engaging in Communities

From 6 years old to until I was 18 years old I did Boy Scouts. Throughout my time in the organization We voulenterred at food drives and helped out the community. The biggest thing I did was my Eagle Scout project. I built 4 hitching posts for a local horse and bike trail in my community.

Interpersonal Communication

In the TalkAbroads I had to speak to a native speaker and communicate with them in Spanish.

When I first started the TalkAbroad I was nervous but when I actually did it it was very fun and it wasn’t as difficult as I thought it was. When it came for the second TalkAbroad I felt more confident and it was even easier than the first because I was familiar with how it was gonna work. They have taught me to use the lance and not be afraid to make mistakes when talking.

Presentational Writing

In the compositions we have to write about a certain topic that the professor gives us.

I excel at this because I pratice what I’m gonna write before we do the composition. I can improve on this skill by writing more.

Interpretive Listening

In our exams we have to a audio and interpret what they are saying with questions they give us.

These Audios help me use my skills in listening and understanding the language.

Interpretive Reading

In our exams we have to interpret a paragraph and they give us questions and we have to answer them based on the paragraph.
