Well, one way I have grown academically over the last few months, is that having this upper level Psychology class really made me determined to get the course work done and not just throw anything together it prepared me for my writing and reading skills. This upper level course will. This upper level course will help me in my future because, I will learn how theories are applied to the world and, how different cultures believe in what they were brought up on. Now I have the understanding of cultural diversity and, how it relates in our society today.  I have grown a lot by taking this course writing wise and studying wise.  No my attitudes have not changed about Cross- Cultural Psychology, It will help in my future in many ways when I’m out in my career on the field working with people from all over the world with different backgrounds.  One thing I gained from the course objectives is that I develop greater understanding of people from other cultures and skills for successfully interacting with them. If I took this class again, I would pre- read the chapters before I study for them to better understand the material. One skill that I gained from this class, is that understanding from different parts of the world and critical thinking about different research materials.I want to be able to apply to skills in the real world and, show people that i’m educated and well diverse on this topic.  Now, I better understand research and theories.

What I learned from this Assignment 5, which was a Peer-Reviewed Journal Article.  I learned about the cultural in France, I took french up in High School and, I always had a net for it since day one. The article I choose in Google Scholar is Development of a Preference-Weighted Health Status Classification System in France: The Health Utilities Index 3.  The purpose of this article was to compare the health and, cost-effectiveness evaluations in North American to France.   I also learned that France and, North America is a like in many ways almost and can be different.  The article I choose provided foundations used to model the multiattribute utility function.This study came up in June 1999, with a sample of 365 people from the French general population aged between 20 and 65, and not suffering from any chronic or incapacitating illness (Le Galès, 1999). The interviews took place in their homes. The men and, women were looked at one by one the primary indicator of the validity of the person-mean or median functions constructed. The French are very strict on their breakfast that is their king meal and important meal of the day to them verses in America sometimes, we tend to not eat breakfast we tend to skip that meal. To me North America is not as strict as the French are we tend to push over a lot of things that are very important. I can compare this article topic to anther course I have taken which is Social Psychology, it taught me not just about the social world we live in but, how different people cope with things mentally and physically.However, the social word is important to every cultural it is how we interact and, the things we can learn from and have experiences from on all different levels types. Health is one of those topics that can always be discussed in a positive look or negative but, we all no matter which cultural we are or what we are should take health in a more serious way.

Overall, I have learned a lot from this Cross- Cultural Psychology class, I have actually learned a lot and that is a good thing for me because, sometimes with online classes you really don’t learn all that you need to know and that can be a bad thing and reflect on the student. The top three things I learned are overcoming your fears and making the best out of what you have, Going over test questions is a great way to learn and helps you remember what you got wrong and, what you need to know, and, overcoming things that I am that I need to speak life into because, I am beautiful and, smart.  A lot of the blogs did spill over into one another I think which is a great thing that psychology can relate to almost anything you can dream of.  In Social Psychology and Cross- Cultural Psychology,  can alike we both involves cultural and people and, also the social world.  I love both of the classes I taken so far Social Psychology and Cross- Cultural Psychology they to me go hand and hand.

In this assignment four we were told told write a two page paper on how North America cultural is different from a cultural of our choosing,  I chose Japan because , I wanted to see how their cultural related to North American and didn’t relate. Gender roles between men and women is a big factor in North America. Sometimes women don’t even have a fair chance like men do. Women are more stereotype to be in her position that would be at home taking care of the family and working. Men have a better chance of landing a job in advertisement then women due to the fact they are portraying to do a better job at it. In the culture world women are found to be those who are 4 times more likely of not having the part to speak.  I learned a lot from doing this assignment it opened up a niche for me exploring other cultural’s  and opening up about mines. However, in North America our cultural is very diverse and mixed now that we have different cultural’s living in North America. Some women encounter sexual harassment in the advertising world making it difficult for them to play their role or keep they’re some are even as to do sexual favors to keep their job with their boss.

Sex and gender stereotype both portray a role in advertisement for you not to believe that is wrong. Women are tending to be those who are more better of speaking about themselves it seems when you have conversation with men’s they are more less of speaking in words or less to say. This assignment can be refluent to me because i am a women myself and we have a lot to go through already being a Africa American women at that.
