The origins of the fairy tales we know today are found in sources as varied as mythology and the Bible In the article The “Tale As Old As Time” Both men and women have a tendency to make assumptions that women belong in specific types of jobs. In many cultures, women are expected to be subservient and only take on the job of bearing and taking care of children. And doing housework and cooking and cleaning. Ugly beast being transformed into handsome men which are called princes can be frighting. Fairy Tales can reflect moral truths about weird things and some people question can these things really be true.  Literary criticism on fairy tales and modern children’s literature is a relatively new enterprise that has not yet accumulated a substantial or impressive corpus of interpretation, and the studies done by psychologists and educators mostly address the special concerns of these disciplines. Hearing stories about wicked step-mothers, lost children,and turning a beast into a prince can be shocking to most children and adults. “Beauty and the Beast” is one of the most beloved of all the fairy tales just because it contrasts goodness with badness in a way that is appealing to the imagination. The insight to the story being about the goodness about magic,moral life for it often appears in the most unexpected persons and places and with surprising results. Like all the great fairy tales, “Beauty and the Beast” invites us to draw analogies between its imaginary world and the world in which we live. They often show these movies in many day care settings and home day care settings as well.  Fairy tales lead us toward a belief in something that, if it were not also so veiled in a mystery, common sense alone would affirm: if there is a story there must surely also be a story-teller.
