I believe organizations can benefit from the NIST framework as it emphasizes the need for cybersecurity and allows organizations to be able to take an in-depth look at their assets and decide what can potentially appear as vulnerable and in need of security. They can ensure that their cybersecurity program is capable of protecting these assets as well as if it can detect an issue to begin with. With this, organizations will be able to appropriately respond to and recover from any potential cyber threats against their company. I would use this framework in my future workplace to protect patient information as I plan on working in a psychiatric facility and patient information as well as medication can be considered as vulnerable assets.
