Course Description

ENG495/IDS493 is an asynchronous online course that incorporates Canvas, Google Drive, the internet, and phone conferences. Each student will prepare an electronic portfolio integrating academic study, work experiences, skill identification and work products. Alternative formats are used for varying uses of the portfolio including a final webpage. 

Course goals and objectives

• Successfully develop, using electronic tools, an ePortfolio that demonstrates academic, self-assessment and entrepreneurial skills
• Analyze and integrate workplace and academic learning using critical thinking
• Collaborate with other students to improve individual projects 
• Develop best work to demonstrate how skills and projects align desired outcomes of major program and career goals
• Research career landscape and problems using interdisciplinary theory
