Interpretive, Interpersonal, and Presentational Modes of Communication
An Effective Reflection Is
- Before enrolling in Span101F, Beginning Spanish I, I had almost forgotten everything I had learned in high school. It has been almost four years since I took Spanish level 3 in 12th grade. After taking Span101F, I remember the vocabulary I have learned from high school and practice my Spanish skills, but I also improve my listening skills for Spanish speakers.
- When I don’t remember or need to search for any vocabulary, I can either use the Lingro Learning or Spanish notes from high school. When I had a conversation with my professor, I was very worried about what I should say, ask, and answer. Therefore, I am preparing myself and practicing. I even note down any words I do not know or don’t remember, so I can keep myself remembering these words.

An Effective Reflection is not
- This is the project 2 that i record myself and answer the question that professor Luis already recorded.
I would recommend it if you take a review of the Beginning Spanish 101F. You could take a look at my work. You should prepare for any project and conversation, either with the professor or with your partner. The assignments for online classes are due each week, so if you have the chance to drive and take a class on campus, just take it.

Instructions
Exploring Culture
While learning Spanish, there are so many differences between the two cultures. However, I was born and grew up in Vietnam. I think the differences between the cultures of different nations make them special. We can recognize them by these differences.
By doing discussion boards and assignments on the Lingro Learning website, I have the chance to understand more about Hispanic culture. Therefore, I feel that even though both cultures are different, they still share some common ground. They will spend time with their families. There are breaks for employees. Because I used to compare and observe things around me, I am in a way to learn and accept how the world’s perspective changes or be open.
Engaging in Communities
I think everything we do still needs time to become familiar with and immersed in. However, it would not be easy. We need to take it slowly and focus on the positive side while ignoring the negatives that will interrupt or be obstacles to us. Each culture and community will have some different or things may surprise us on how they interact and communicate.
I am rarely take a pictures whenever I be around someone or engaging in a community. Therefore, I don´t have any pictures to show.
Interpersonal Communication
Whenever I feel difficult, I will choose to reread the question or take a break to do other questions and then back to that questions. I can either ask advice from my sister or my friend. Mostly, I used to do it by myself and rarely ask professor. I would recommend if you have any question, you should ask for help or for explanation from professor. However, I still ask the question from the professor If it was very hard or unable to solve.
Presentational Speaking
For speaking, I am not very confident in my speaking skills. I still need to practice more in both English and Spanish. I need to have more confidence in what I am going to say. Fortunately, I feel lucky that I still remember what I learned.
Presentational Writing
For writing, I like to impress myself but also others with what I want to tell them. I am not trying to show up, but I want to challenge myself and see how well I remember. I think challenges will make me improve myself. For any work and vocabulary I don’t remember, I will look back to the note and reread it to make sure it was written correctly. I also note down every assignment in the lingo learning so I can practice and see what I did wrong.
Interpretive Listening
Regarding listening, I admit that I am not really good at listening. During high school, I was very scared of the listening part of any assignment or test given by native Spanish speakers. The reason is that they speak too fast and I did not catch what they said. Now, I am more confident because my Spanish listening skills are getting better.
Interpretive Reading
For the reflection paragraph, I was not clear on the format of the ePortfolio. However, I hope that you can understand that learning is a process from failure to achievement. You can be really bad at the beginning, but you will get better if you try harder to overcome your fears and weaknesses. The most interesting thing is that the result is how you get yourself through challenges and be a part of them. First, each assignment can be challenging for you, but you will like to read those assignments you have completed and smile at how much you have improved.
