I believe that in today’s media, discussions about cybersecurity often revolve around the topic of hacking. Typically, hacking is portrayed simplistically, with the hacker achieving their objective in mere minutes or even seconds. This oversimplification gives the impression that cybersecurity is not particularly effective, as hackers seldom encounter any real challenges. Although the term “firewall” is occasionally mentioned, cybersecurity is often portrayed as being non-existent in the media due to the ease with which most hackers seem to operate. I do not blame the media for this, as it would be difficult to suddenly interrupt a thrilling sequence in an action movie with a lecture on network scanning.
