Review the NICE Workforce Framework. Are there certain areas that you would want to focus your career on? Explain which areas would appeal the most to you and which would appeal the least.

The NICE Workforce Framework encompasses various sectors for a cybersecurity career, such as creating cybersecurity software to identify viruses and anomalies, to investigating crimes and practicing digital forensics. It consists of 7 main categories. The one that appeals to me the most is the investigative category. Cyber investigation is a field of great interest to me due to its relevance in today’s highly digitized world. With the increasing reliance on technology, cybercrime has become a growing concern, and cyber investigators play a vital role in protecting individuals and organizations from these threats. The field offers a dynamic and challenging career path, as investigators must stay up to date on the latest technologies, hacking techniques, and criminal activities.

Secure provision is the least appealing area for me. It focuses on software and IT design, which I find challenging to comprehend. Careers in this sector include software design, system architecture, and system development, but these positions aren’t suitable for me due to my limited experience and lack of aptitude in coding and technology development. It takes a lot of dedicated time to master these skills, and I prefer to work on one task at a time rather than juggling multiple tasks simultaneously.
