Andriy Slynchuk has described eleven things Internet users do that may be illegal. Review what the author says and write a paragraph describing the five most serious violations and why you think those offenses are serious.

The first and most significant offense committed by Andriy Slynchuk is the collecting of information regarding children. It should be understandable, but the moment I recognized it as a possibility, I knew it was one of the five most significant infractions. Unfortunately, it is a practice of some people on this globe, but it is completely disgusting to me. Allowing children to use the internet, particularly social media, is extremely dangerous due to how easy it is for someone to track and acquire information on them. I would rank recording a VoIP call without consent as the second most serious infraction on the list. One person in the conversation must provide consent to be recorded under federal law. I know it would worry and anger me to know that someone I spoke with on the phone recorded the entire chat. Using other people’s internet networks is the third most significant offense on the list. Some retailers and even businesses offer a public internet network for customers to use within the facility. That is OK, but hacking or circumventing someone’s private home internet network is an invasion of privacy and highly strange. Getting into a person’s internet network might give that individual access to all the connected phones, allowing them to steal confidential information. That is a significant breach, in my opinion. In my opinion, the fourth most important infraction on this list is utilizing copyrighted photos without acknowledgment. In my opinion, this is a severe infraction because there are people who take other people’s work for their gain. I’m not sure how people believe that’s OK. It becomes serious when people’s hard work is stolen and the individual who did nothing but steal the work receives all of the credit and revenue. The fifth and final most significant infraction on our list is misrepresenting your identity online. There are people online that pretend as other people to obtain information and money. Every day, people are duped into donating money or providing personal information. Being naive and unaware play a role, yet all of the guilt cannot be placed on someone because they were duped. Faking their identities and stealing from others for benefits is completely illegal.
