With the amount of computers used worldwide, many computer users do not know whether or not their computer is safe. It is important to be aware about the many different ways in which you can ensure the protection and safety of your computer. One of the most important things is to make sure that you have a password that will always be remembered. It must be a strong one in order to ensure the security of your computer. A strong password is usually long with a mixture of different characters (uppercase and lowercase, numbers, symbols). Having firewalls installed will also add to the safety of your computer. Firewalls will shield any unauthorized cyber attackers by providing protection from unnecessary network trafficking. Lastly, it is important to keep computers updated to their latest softwares. Keeping the software updated allows the computer to run smoothly and help with keeping security strong to protect from any data breaches and cyber attacks. 

With the development of computers, it can be said that these computers have made our world both safer and less safe. Three ways that computers have made our world safer is through communication, in our hospitals, and in our education system. This is pretty evident, as a person is able to communicate with someone through various methods such as text message, electronic mail, phone calls, social media, etc. With these ways of communication, this takes away unnecessary face to face interactions that some people may want to avoid. Hospitals have made great use of computers by using them to monitor blood pressure, heart rate, and many other medical exams. Computers have decreased the amount of paper being used in schools and allow for students to learn virtually.  However, there are also qualities of computers that have made the world less safe. Computers store personal information that could potentially be compromised in the event of a cyber attack. This may result in identity theft and/or financial loss. Lastly, firewalls have their limitations so not everything can be protected.
